Bike Forth is a DIY bike repair shop in Davis, California run by the Davis Bike Collective. Come visit us. Tools and space are available if you want to repair your bicycle. Personal help and instruction is provided by our volunteer mechanics.
Regular Open Shop
Use the tools, fix your bike(s), drop off donations, pick up some sweet parts, and learn skills during open shop. Our ministers are here to help you out and guide you through whatever you may need be it to fix a flat or invent some new bicycle machine:
Mondays 1-5 PM
Wednesdays 4-8 PM
Thursdays 4-8 PM
Saturdays 12-4 PM* - Due to a need for new volunteers, Saturdays will only be open the FIRST SATURDAY of each month.
Open Bike Night
We switch this up every week, but you can expect something worth while. Sometimes it's just a pot-luck, social event. Maybe one weeks it'll be a workshop on re-greasing your hubs, or fixing bent and broke frames.
Mondays 6:30-8 PM (only if an event is scheduled)
Currently on hiatus.
Women Trans Femme (WTF) Workshop
What's gender got to do with it? Come by for an organized WTF space. It's focused on bike fixery, but it's also so much more.
Currently on break.
1221 1/2 4th Street, Davis, CA

You won't find price tags at Bike Forth - payment is flexible, it's all about fairness, equity, ability, and inclination. This is strange, eh?, but we hope you get the drift. To be clear, we ask for $5 donation per hour spent in the shop, and a fair contribution for whatever parts and materials are used (we do have a recommended donation range for each type of part). In lieu of a donation we're also happy to have your volunteer time in exchange; we ask for 1/2 the time spent using the space - if you spend two hours in the shop, stay another hour to volunteer. Keep in mind that there are many real and significant expenses to run Bike Forth (including rent, insurance, utilities, improvements), it's in your hands to contribute enough to keep the community shop afloat.
